The Paradise Problem

Pretty Woman meets Crazy Rich Asians in this delight of a story. Anna and Liam have a marriage of convenience in college for subsidized housing for Anna and for Liam’s inheritance. They were barely acquaintances but mutually benefited from their arrangement and planned to divorce in five years to then go their separate ways. Until, Liam learns that he would lose his inheritance if it was discovered that his marriage was a sham. So, naturally, he invites Anna to his sister’s extravagant wedding on a remote Indonesian island in exchange for $100,000.

I’ll admit, that I was initially drawn by how pretty the cover is, but I quickly appreciated the pages within. The way it’s written drew me in from the first page. The story itself is fluffy and light but the characters and writing are bubbly and rich, making it so much more. To know Anna is to love her and that extends to the reader. Her personality was bright colors and a big hug.
