Fourth Wing re-read, Graphic Audio adaptation

In honor of Threshing being on October 1st, I re-read Fourth Wing, and wow is it just as good as I remember. Except, this time around, I listened to the graphic audio version. Just like last year when I first read it, I am wholly sucked in and it’s now my entire personality and I am reminded why it’s my favorite romantasy series. It’s so well written, the dragons are hilarious, and Violet and Xaden’s chemistry is top notch. After re-reading, it occurs to me that I basically married a Xaden Riorson, at least the older version who gets it together and can communicate. So that could very well be part of what draws me to them as a couple.

The voice performances in the graphic audio, particularly for Violet and Xaden just further enhance their chemistry and relationship. Liam’s death is also that much more devastating by the power of the performances.

I am now re-reading Iron Flame, to further investigate what Violet’s second signet could be in Onyx Storm. However, I am very convinced she is an intinnsic truth-sayer after the throne scene in Iron Flame. I also really like the theory that maybe she can shape shift into a dragon but there’s less evidence for that. For my full review on Fourth Wing, you can read more here!
