Loved the romance in this. It felt earned and I appreciated it didn't have the typical FMC betrayal that she later regrets and then we have to wait for them to inevitably resolve that. I liked that this was unique in that the main couple really did fully trust each other and the conflict came from their circumstances and people around them and not because one betrayed the other for the sake of conflict to move the plot. I also loved Vaasa's healing journey and her coven! Vaasa has some Nesta tendencies but way toned done and she gets her shit together a lot quicker. Reid def has Cassian energy. If you loved A Court of Silver Flames but wish it was shorter and had less spice and more political intrigue, this is for you! Excited to see where book 2 goes.
