The God of the Woods

I could not put this down! I stayed up late and got up early because I was so antsy to know what happens. I did not see what happened to Bear coming at all. This was a very well written and thought out thriller! There were some red herrings but it was an appropriate amount to keep it interesting. So many thrillers I've read had so many red herrings that it cheapened the story. Also, I'm sorry, but f*** Delphine?!?! What kind of sister?! Sure, she had some good feminist commentary but world's worst sister on the planet. She was almost completely responsible for Alice's life being miserable. Peter played a part as well but Alice trusted her sister and was gaslit her entire life into submission.

I particularly enjoyed Juditya and Louise's POVs.

I don’t fully understand the relevance of the ‘god of the woods’. It was briefly mentioned that a god name Pan was the god of the woods but then it wasn’t mentioned again. I’d love to find an analysis that ties the name of the book better for me! That is my only qualm with this book though. I loved Juditya and Louise’s arcs. I also appreciated the emphasis on the female perspective in this story.
