Holiday Candles at Bath and Body Works
Tis the season for spending an inappropriate amount of money on candles.
Personally, I prefer scents that smell like pine more than the sweet smelling ones. But! I do have favorites in both camps. I’ll discuss the sweetness/throw and festivity of each scent. Bath and Body Works also does a lot of sales between October through the end of December on their holiday scents so it’s a great time to get some!
Bath and Body Works has the best candles on the planet (not sponsored, LOL I WISH). I have tried to save money by buying candles elsewhere but could never smell them once they were lit so they were basically pointless. I have ranked the BEST Christmas smelling candles from Bath and Body Works based on the pleasantness of the smell and the throw (how strong it is/its ability to fill a large room with its scent). I am a firm believer that your environment can deeply affect how you feel and these candles lift me up and make me feel like it’s the holidays always, which is exactly what I want.I personally love the pine-y and candles that smell like a Christmas tree farm and super festive smelling candles so I will include a ranking of how sweet/ festive they smell as I understand not everyone is as eccentric with their scents as me.
This is my ALL TIME favorite candle. It smells like a crisp snowy evening in the woods. It fills a room and is so festive but not sweet at all. It somehow smells like snow, firewood, and pine all at the same time. It’s not a Christmassy smell per se, but it smells like the essence of winter.

This is the pefect mix of pine, eucalyptus, and cedar. It smells like a Christmas tree farm.

This smells like you’re lying under a Christmas tree. It is similar to Fresh Balsam but has a hint of vanilla, berry and sage scents along with the pine.

This is a slightly sweet but mostly bright and fruity smell. This was the candle scent we used at our wedding so that makes it even more special to me. It is a pleasant blend of apple and cranberry. I would put this one in more of the winter party category and not so much Christmas.

Okay, this one smells like a new car that has a hint of pine. And also an old book store. It smells SO good! But it doesn’t have the best throw. It’s great for a bathroom or a bedroom. It smells so clean and classy.

This one is a favorite year round. It smells like a Cinnabon but not in a gross mall way. It’s comforting and cozy.

This is the perfect blend of cinnamon, pine, and marshmallow. It’s the perfect blend of Christmassy and a bit sweet. If you like a candle that’s a little bit of everything but not too strong, this is it. It smells like Christmas morning with hot cocoa by the Christmas tree.
