The Well of Ascension

I thought this was going to be a weak 3 star read until the last 150 pages. It took a while but we got back to epic!! The whole love triangle frustrated me and went on way too long. Also, as a romantasy girly, I see soooo much potential for the main romance to be more swoony. I know that’s not the focus of this high fantasy so I can’t fault the story for it, but I’d love to see SJM or RY write a remix of this to give Vin and Elend more ooompf. They wound up in a good place though! A lot of this book was set up and the ending of the book made it worth it. Looking forward to the emotional damage I’ll surely suffer in HOA.
